He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert L. Weidman and Margaret L. Weidman (Inman). He is survived by: his significant other Mary Forsythe of Chrisman; his daughter Barbara Weidman (Brock Craft) of Seattle, Washington; his sister Linda Schurman (Richard) of Ithaca; his granddaughter Eleanor Craft of Seattle; and his nephew John Penberthy of South Harrison.
For over twenty years, he had a tutorial practice in which he helped struggling children; some of those students actually won National Science Foundation awards.
