He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugen Rapp and Liesel Rapp (Werner); his brothers, Norman Rapp and Roland Rapp; and his son-in-law Elmer Halcomb.

He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Scott of Normal and Kimberly Halcomb of Bloomington, IN; his grandchildren, Travers Halcomb (Vivian) of Bloomington, IN, Scott Halcomb (Jamie) of Bloomington, IN and Rose Halcomb of Bloomington, IN; his great grandchild Emmett; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Eli, Rosie Rapp and James Pritchard (Jeanette). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
