He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon E. Gilbert and Margaret E. Gilbert (Oatman). He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Heineman; his children, Stephen C. Gilbert of Chillicothe, IL and Dawn M. Gilbert of West Peoria, IL; and his siblings, Walter R. Gilbert of Harriman, TN, Carol L Wells of Temple, TX and Nancee J. Brown (Earl) of East Peoria, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
