He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Higdon and Ella Mae Higdon (Cross); and his son Joshua Higdon. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Kissner of Chillicothe, IL; his children, Jason Higdon (Kimberly) of Chillicothe, IL and Angie McIntyre (Dean Dykgraaf) of Chillicothe, IL; and his daughter-in-law Dawn Higdon of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Illinois Cancer Center.
