He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Charles and Loretta June Bannister (Morris); his wife Alice Elizabeth Emmitt; his sons, Alan and Dana Bannister; and his grandson Drew Bannister.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Bannister (Robin) of Chillicothe, IL, Patti Ritchie-Williams (Jeff) of Buckeye, AZ, Craig Bannister (Sheila) of Chillicothe, IL and Adele Spell (Robert) of Stafford, VA; his daughter-in-law Loretta Bannister of East Peoria; and his grandchildren, Jordan Bannister, Ivy Carnegie (Justin), Levi Bannister, Faith Morgan, Josh Ritchie, Jessi Williams, Joel Bannister (Angelique), Stephanie Bannister (Amber), Miles Bannister, Raymond Gorra (Rachel), Leah Bannister, Kayla Spell and Ethan Spell. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
