It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine P Bomleny of Chillicothe, Illinois, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Scott and Marjorie Scott (Ligget); her husband Billy "Bill" Bomleny; her son Steve Bomleny; her siblings, Francis Scott, Marguerite Wall, Bill Scott, Lillian Endress, Jack Scott, Harold Scott, Leah Fairfield and Max Scott; and her great grandchild Samuel James Bomleny.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Taylor (Dennis) of Buda and Mary Ann Shatto (Brett) of Chillicothe; her daughter-in-law Elaine Bomleny of Sheffield; her grandchildren, Amy Hardin (Justin), Greg Bomleny (Emily), Lori Franks (Andy), Jeff Bomleny (Jenny Femali), Mark Bomleny (Brooke), Alyce Howeler (Kevin), Kara Shatto (John O'Bryant) and Ryan Shatto; and her stepgrandchildren, Lisa Garcia (José), Kurt Taylor (April), Steven Taylor (Nicole) and Brian Taylor (Allandra). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home- Bradford (217 E Main St, Bradford, IL 61421). A rosary was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (218 1st St, Bradford, IL 61421). A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. John's Cemetery (1300 N, Osceola Township, IL 61421).
Memorial donations can be made in Maxine's name to American Cancer Society.
