With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Ellen Ackerman of Chillicothe, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Nolte and Martha Ellen Nolte (Ball). She is survived by: her husband Edward Charles "E. C." Ackerman; and her sons, John L. Ackerman (Marianne) of Glenwood Springs, Brent L. Ackerman (Denise) of Chillicothe, IL and Bruce M. Ackerman of Decatur, IL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Martha enjoyed quilting and knitting gifts and donations for others.
