She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Peter and Ruby Lorene Balbinot (Provence); her husband Virgil "Zeke" Closen; and her sisters, Nancy Colwell, Diana Craig and Kathy Balbinot.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Simmons of Toulon, IL and Lisa Podes (Angelo) of Alachua, FL; and her sisters, Janice Melvin of Las Vegas, NV and Connie Kallas (Nick) of Sand Springs, OK. She is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
