In loving memory of Julene A. Eilers of Chillicothe, Illinois, who departed this world on March 25, 2025 at the age of 79. Julene leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Julene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Julene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Allen and Carmella McKittrick (Pozzi). She is survived by: her daughters, Alice Eilers-Guttensohn (Kurt) of Bartlett, TN and Cindy Eilers (Jeff Scroggs) of Winter Haven, FL; her grandchildren, Desiree Eilers (Justyn Reifsteck) of Chillicothe, IL and Luke Anthony Eilers of Lacon, IL; and her great grandchild Alyson Reifsteck.
A rosary was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 4:30 PM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1216 N 6th St, Chillicothe, IL 61523). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. Edward Catholic Church and School.
