She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Bert and Irma Pearl Hyde (Cutler); her husband Edward E. Harms; her son Ronald Harms; and her son-in-law Gregory Ford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheri Ford of Chillicothe, Lori Griffin (Jeff) of Chillicothe and Kristen Tortat (Robert) of Chillicothe; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Harms of Chillicothe; and her grandchildren, Amber Rusk (Charlie), Gregory Harms, Kelsey Ford (David), Caitlin Griffin (Stephanie), Jacob Griffin (Kimmy), Gabi Scott (Bradley), Leo Tortat and Vivian Tortat. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Weber-Hurd Funeral Home (1107 N 4th St, Chillicothe, IL 61523). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Joan's name may be made to the Community Needs Agency or the Weekend SnackPac through the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church.
