He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hoffstatter and Marie Hoffstatter (Willett); and his siblings, Bobbie Martin, Pat Lange, Freddie, Mike and Steve Hoffstatter.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Rankin Claycomb; his children, Anna Houser (Richard) and Todd Claycomb; his grandchildren, Cole Yetton, Kameron Houser, Logan Claycomb and Alivia Houser; and his brother Billy Hoffstatter of Chillicothe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
