It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn I. Sefried Smith of Chillicothe, Illinois, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter P. Bierwirth and Lillian E. Bierwirth (Palmer); her husband Alvin Smith; and her brothers, Robert, Raymond, Richard and Ronald.
She is survived by: her former husband Donald Sefried; her sons, Richard Sefried (Julie White) of Galesburg, IL and Ronald Sefried (Patricia) of Pekin, IL; and her sister Mary Massengill of Chillicothe, IL. She is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
