She was predeceased by: her father Bud G. Charlton; and her husband Lloyd L. Miller. She is survived by: her sons, William G. Carter, III of Smithfield, IL and Daniel S. Carter of Chillicothe, IL; her stepson Steve Miller of Chillicothe, IL; her siblings, Leilani Pitcher and David Kirk; and her caregiver Practitioner. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
