He is survived by: his father Robert Bannister; his children, Raymond Gorra (Rachel) of San Diego, CA and Leah Bannister of Tinley Park, IL; his grandchildren, Ryder, Rex and Rocklynn; his former wife Loretta Bannister; his siblings, Brad Bannister (Robin) of Chillicothe, IL, Patti Williams (Jeff) of Buckeye, AZ, Craig Bannister (Sheila) of Chillicothe, IL and Adele Spell (Robert) of Stafford, VA; and his nephew Drew Bannister. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Drew's Plots, in which Dana was a big supporter.
