With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles J. Britton of Chillicothe, Illinois, born in Kennett, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Charles find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Deward Aaron and Bonnie Mae Britton (Presley); his wife Vickie L. Parkinson; and his son Joseph Britton of Chillicothe, IL. He was also cherished by two daughters; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children of Fallen Officers Program.
