She was predeceased by: her husband John Szmutko; her grandson Cullen Szmutko; her parents, John Kordys and Mary Kordys; and her siblings, Veronica Dobis (Jake), Helen Korotky (Walter), Anthony (Catherine), Joseph (Jennie), John (Audrey), Leonard (Diane) and Stanley Kordys.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Szmutko (Kathy) of Rochester, MN, Laura Vail (Scott) of Phoenix, AZ, Debbie Kilmurry of LaVista, NE and Tammy Nelson (Bryan) of Chillicothe, IL; her grandchildren, Morgan Gothmann (Brent), Matthew Vail, Megan Rasmussen (Toby), Kelli Autry (Joe), Courtney Lang-Kipp (Cody), Marissa Myres (James), Brad Nelson (Morgan) and Zach Nelson (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Nora, Miles, Lainey, Gavin, Eleanor, Mabel, Amelia, Makenzie, Olivia, Everly, Madalyn, Jacob, Emma, Ellie and Maddux; and her sisters, Lillian Lopez (Armand) and Shirley Bobin (late Tom). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
