He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Ramon Velez Sierra and Margarita Melendez Nieves. He is survived by: his wife Zelma; his children, Maria (Michael) and Victor Jr. (Lizzette); his grandchildren, Xavier (Leslie), Briana, Nathaniel (Angela), Annelyse, Samantha, Jax and Addison; his sister Carmen; his children, Miguel and Carmen; his sisters, Maria and Juana; his children, Tiana and Katherine; his sister Margot; his children, Karla M. and Carlos; his brother Manuel; his sons, Manuel Jr. and Jesus; his sister Aida (Raimundo); and his children, Belkis and Lilliana. He is also survived by six siblings, and eleven nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Homes of Chicago (6250 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
