He was predeceased by: his spouse Estelita R Garcia; his parents, Fausto Garcia and Miguela Garcia; and his sister Lina G Royal. He is survived by: his children, Valerie and Val Jr.; and his sister Aida G Abella. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless godchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Malec & Son Funeral Home (6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (7211 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631).
