Tracey L. Orick Obituary
Tracey Lynn Margaret Orick (née Bulthuis) was born August 28th 1970 to Donna (née Massey) and Thomas. She was the first of four and immediately took a motherly role towards her siblings Denise, Tommy, and the late Christina. She grew up in Northlake, Illinois attending St. John Vianney and West Leyden High School where she made lifelong friends.
At a young age she had her first child Curtis. After several years of being a strong single mother, she met her soulmate, the late Brian Alan Orick. They were married in 1995 and a couple short years later they brought Maggie Rose into this world.
Over the years she would become a mother to many, to include a few: Bernadette Orick (née Duray), Jeanette Zabieglo (née Nuccio), Angelia Kogut, and Zach Kogut. After Brian was called home in 2011, she found new purpose and further dedicated her life to others through her social work. She went back to school while working full time and graduated with top honors from Aurora University.
She served the Austin community for 2 years before becoming the first social worker at the Elmhurst public library. She was blessed later in life to find companionship and comfort in Robert Kogut. Anyone who saw them together could see the love they shared.
She enjoyed adventuring with her "birches" and movie marathons on the couch at home with her daughter. She had a passion for helping others that didn't have a voice or the means to help themselves. She was always reading a book or working out at Orange Theory.
Her loss will be felt by many for sometime to come.
