Theofani Arapitoglou Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Theofani Arapitoglou of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Georgios Arapitoglou; her father Nikolaos Alexopoulos; her son Nikolaos "Niko" Arapitoglou; and her sister Vasiliki Stavrou (late Georgios Stavrou). She is survived by: her children, Konstantinos "Gus" Arapitoglou, Vasiliki "Kiki" Margeolas (George Margeolas), Eleni Athanasopoulos (Kostas Athanasopoulos) and Athanasios "Tom" Arapitoglou; her grandchildren, Angelo Athanasopoulos, Andreas Margeolas (Taylor Margeolas), George Athansopoulos (Asmr Athanasopoulos), Theofani "Faye" Shamon (Sam Shamon), Sotiria "Susan" Athanasopoulos Farm (Nathan Farm) and Georgia Sora (Richard "Ricky" Sora); her great grandchildren, Sampson Shamon, Eleni Athanospoulous, Lea Shamon, Nicholas Athanosopoulos, Alexandra Farm and Georgio Margeolas; and her brother William "Bill" Alexopoulos (Angela Alexopoulos).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church (7373 N Caldwell Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Ridgewood Cemetery (9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
