He was predeceased by: his sister Bonnie Citron (Bernard); and his parents, Dorothy Kaplan and Irvin Kaplan. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Block (Ross), Natalie Michelson (Abraham) and Michael Kaplan; his significant other Sharon Poynter; his son Brent Poynter; and his brother Jeffrey Kaplan (Sheila).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Shalom Chapel Service Shalom Memorial Funeral Home (1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004).
