With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Scanlon (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on August 16, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Scanlon and James Scanlon; his brother Bobby Scanlon; his siblings-in-law, Hannah McPartlan (late Joseph) and Sean O'Callaghan (Rita); and his sister Eileen O'Callaghan D. C..

He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Joann M. Hendle (Lane), Michael J. Scanlon (Kathleen) and Eileen F. Mahler (Billy); his grandchildren, Kyle, Kaileen, Ryan, Kevin, Aaron, Brayden, Payton and Connor; his siblings, Patrick (Peggy), Morty Scanlon (Ann), Joan Mahon (late James) and Mame Kavanagh (Gerry); and his brother-in-law Patrick O'Callaghan (Ida).

In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
