It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Nunez (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Mary had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Mary may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Doniciano Ruano and Maria Ruano (Aviles); and her children, Mari-Anette (Pretita) and Marcos. She is survived by: her children, Steve, Robert (Lucia), Trino (Joyce), Carmen, Frank (Rebecca) and Virginia.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McInerney Central Chapel (4635 S Wallace St, Chicago, IL 60609).
