She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Brown and Fannie Elizabeth Brown; and her siblings, Charles Ernest Brown, Christine Spicer and Annie Mae Turner.
She is survived by: her friend Celia Jackson Lloyd; her husband Lester Henry Harris; and her daughters, Deeba Abdul-Musawwir (Kareem), Patricia Harris-Dokes (Richard), Margaret Harris-Lawler, Baby Diane and Celeste Henderson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Canaanland Christian Church (225 E Clinton St, Joliet, IL 60432). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Homewood Memorial Gardens (600 Ridge Rd, Homewood, IL 60430).
