She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Michael; her children, Alexandra "Lesia" Kowerko (Oleh) and Roman Borniak (late Lydia); her grandchildren, Patricia, Petrusia, Mark Borniak (Teresa Sosenko) and Andrew Borniak; and her great grandchild Helena Lydia Borniak.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A wake was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 5:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church (739 N Oakley Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612).
