We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2025, at the age of 99, Julius Castaneda of Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa R.; and his siblings, Maria Rosario, Michael Castaneda, Jenny Okalowicz-Driekan, Andy Castaneda and Virginia Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Juliann Murillo (Nicholas) and Andrea Reyes (Jesse); his grandsons, Anthony (Ashleigh) and Michael Reyes (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, William, Charlie, Savannah, Isaiah and Josiah.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Richard Midway Funeral Home (5749 Archer Ave, Homer Glen, IL 60491). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the St. Mary Cemetery (8720 S Hamlin Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805).
