It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gordon Cairns of Chicago, Illinois, born in Bangor, Maine, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Mann and Ruth Sharp Cairns; his sister Barbara Boycan; and his pet Joie. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Holford Cairns of Ardmore, Tennessee.; his children, Andrea Jeanne Foust (Duane) of Madison, Jill Irene Leitschuh (Todd) of South Bend, Indiana., Leif Edward Cairns (Yvette) of Slidell and Matthew John Cairns of Chicago; and his pets, Katy, Sugar, Sazzy and Kari.
