He was predeceased by: his grandchild Brody; his sisters, Cathy and Maureen; and his parents, James and Genevieve.
He is survived by: his wife Candace; his former wife Jan; his children, Erin Fisher, James R. Maurer and Meghann Buehner (Jason); his grandchildren, Brenna, Dennis (Kate), Mallory, Grace, Olivia, Kennedy, Charlie and Ashlynn; and his sister Debra Fuller (late Tommy).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home (820 W Talcott Rd, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
