It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Koutavas of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Jerry; her children, Kitsa Govostis and Denise Cosmas (John); her siblings, Bettie Siavelis (Soter) and Tom Mouhelis (Lois); her grandchildren, Jerry Cosmas (Joelle), Constance DosSantos (Chris), Roselyn Timm (Eric) and Georgina Govostis; and her great grandchildren, Johnny, Leonidas, Sophia, Evelyn and Emilia.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church (133 S Roselle Rd, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (2905 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
