He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his daughters, Tina and Helen (Anestis Siandris); his grandchildren, Peter Mellos (Destiny), Stathis Mellos (Hope), Dino Siandris and Stathy Siandris; his brother Dimitris Spanos (Voula); his siblings-in-law, Maria Spanos, Mike, Despina Venetos, Haris Ress, Dino, Elizabeth Ress, John and Lia Ress; and his godchildren, Irene, Jimmy, Christina and Manolis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (2727 W Winona St, Chicago, IL 60625). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Ridgewood Cemetery (9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
