She was predeceased by: her husband Vasilios "Bill" Dongas; her son Nicholas (Soula); her parents, Eustratios Carallis and Theodora Carallis; and her siblings, Hariklia Papastratakos (Peter), Anna Protopappas (Nick), Peter Carallis (Maria), John Carallis (Maria), Nick Carallis (Anna) and Nicki Varvisotis (John).

She is survived by: her sons, John (Barbara) and Jimmy Dongas (Paula); her grandchildren, Vasili (Morissa), Rita (Pablo), Demetri (Gina), Aristotle, Elizabeth, Sophia, Apollo, Prokopios, Delphi, Zoe and Timotheus; and her great grandchildren, Athena, Luisa, Artemis, Barbara and Johnny.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church (5649 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60660). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (2905 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
