He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elisa Chavez; his children, Dylan Chavez, Molly Chavez, Audrey Chavez and Lucas Chavez; his parents, Efren Chavez Sr. and Lidia Wesolowski (Kevin); his siblings, Lisette Chavez, Luis Chavez and Samantha Salameh (Omar); his father-in-law Henry Pena (Teresa); and his sister-in-law Michelle Pena.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wolniak Funeral Home (5700 S Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60629). A prayer was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Gall Church (5500 S Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60629). The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
