He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Mathews and Eula Mathews; and his brother Charles Mathews. He is survived by: his close friend Erin Houlehen; his brother James Mathews; his niece Joyce Mathews (Stan Pettigrew); his nephews, James Mathews (Brittany), Stacy Mathews and Micheal Mathews (Cynthia); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michelle Mathews (Paul Burger), Shealiegh Mathews and Jenny Conway; and also, Navalin, Brady and Sam.
