She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Michael Smigielski; her children, James Smigielski (Martina Mertens) and Cheryl Scott (Brian); her grandchildren, Michael Barrett, Logan Mertens Smigielski, Jack Mertens Smigielski and Michelle Barrett; and her siblings, William Hopkins (Margaret), Mary Hejna, Frances Rouse (William) and Cynthia Cachur (Kenneth). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Faustina Kowalska Parish (5252 S Austin Ave, Chicago, IL 60638). A Mass was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location.
