With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arturo B. Avila Jr. (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arturo Avila, Sr. and Adelaida Battad Avila. He is survived by: his wife Bethy Louisa Turambi Avila; his children, David (Carmen), Mary Ann (Philip) and John (Alejandra); his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alessandra and Brianna; and his sisters, Elizabeth (Othello) and Marina (John).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A prayer will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of All Saints Basilica (6280 N Sauganash Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
