He was predeceased by: his brothers, William (Will) and Eugene (Marvin). He is survived by: his significant other Lola Reed; his children, Angela Avant (Frank), Anita Latham (Reuben), Anissa Green (Fred), Adrienne Brooks (Mizel), Arlene Oates (Shawn) and Aaron Oates; his siblings, Catherine, Lavon "Easter" (James), Monica and Kerry; his daughter Yeneba Smith; and also, Bianca McBride and Sonja Patterson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
