Sheldon Chad wrote a sympathy message

“I just learnt of Tony's passing. Saddened to hear. Tony was my neighbor for a decade in Westwood in Los Angeles. He, in fact, taught me what it meant to be a good neighbor. I remember he once said, "I don't need another friend. I need a neighbor." We were deferential. Considerate. Helpful. Friend-ly. It was only after a decade when both of us were moving on that we became friends. Tony was a character, in the best sense of that word. Glad to carry the memories of a good man.”

Candice & Jerry Schuster wrote a sympathy message

“I knew Tony from the Nickel Bag, BBC, Hotspurs and Country Comforts. We went out a few times and then became very good friends. His smile could melt icebergs, his gentleman ways were impeccable. We use to laugh and laugh when we ran into each other. We lost touch when I left Chicago to move to Montana. I had no idea he had passed until just today someone sent me his Obit and said “weren’t you good friends with him?” I am so saddened by Tony’s passing. I pray he did not suffer Candice Schuster”
