“I just learnt of Tony's passing. Saddened to hear. Tony was my neighbor for a decade in Westwood in Los Angeles. He, in fact, taught me what it meant to be a good neighbor. I remember he once said, "I don't need another friend. I need a neighbor." We were deferential. Considerate. Helpful. Friend-ly. It was only after a decade when both of us were moving on that we became friends. Tony was a character, in the best sense of that word. Glad to carry the memories of a good man.”

“I knew Tony from the Nickel Bag, BBC, Hotspurs and Country Comforts. We went out a few times and then became very good friends. His smile could melt icebergs, his gentleman ways were impeccable.
