He is survived by: his wife LuAnn; his daughters, Nicole Coffman (Timothy) and Melanie Varner (Mark Culjak); his grandchildren, Ava Coffman, Anthony and Matthew Culjak; his siblings, Charles R. Varner Jr., Barbara Varner and Valerie Evelyn Varner; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Bona, John Kocsis (Cheryl) and Kathleen Anderson.
