She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Childers; her son David Childers; her parents, Marshall Johns and Alverta Johns; her siblings, Violet Stearns, Bernadean Dunn, Pleas Johns, Loren Johns and Cecil Ray Johns; and her niece June Walker.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Cruse (Bob) of Marion; her granddaughter Shanna Green (Jon) of Goreville; her great grandchildren, Alexis Massey, Peyton Massey, Kyleigh Massey, Tristan Green and Liam Green; her granddaughter Amber Halstead (Jason) of Carterville; her great grandchildren, Avery Halstead, Cameron Halstead and Kayden Martin of Georgia; her grandson Matthew Childers (Tammy) of Marion; her great grandchildren, Kyle Childers (Lexie) of Laramie, WY and Dalton Francis of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Leigh Anne Rutan (Jon) of Texas and Will Childers of Mississippi; her nephew Jim Dunn (Mary Ann) of Goreville; her nieces, Joy Stearns of Goreville and Lowanda Cadle of Marion; and her great-niece Pam Reuscher of Tunnel Hill.
Memorials may be made in Cora's name to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Goreville United Methodist Church or Busby Cemetery and will be accepted at the church.
