He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lawrence and Elaine Rinderer; and his grandson Xavier Helmers. He is survived by: his wife Teri Rinderer Chester; his children, Richard (Sherri), Lisa and Russell Helmers St (Sarah); his siblings, Herman (Michelle) and Dollatine Rinderer Chester; and his great grandchild Many. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren.
