He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse "Leon" Woolsey and Marcella; and his brother Harry. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kempf; his son William Woolsey (Gwen) of Chester, IL; his stepsons, Timothy Kempf and Jeffrey Kempf (Carrie); his grandchildren, William, Elizabeth and Jack; his stepgrandchildren, Dylan Kempf, Jackson and Brooklynn Kempf; his stepgreat-grandsons, Blake and Ian Kempf; his nephews, Ryan Woolsey (Jennifer) and Jeremy Woolsey (Deena); and his niece Becky Woolsey Hogan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
