He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Dierks and Clara Dierks (Ohlau); his wife Darlene E. Rubach; and his siblings, Alberna Sternberg (Murray) and Marvin Dierks (Irene).
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Stearns (Mike) of Makanda, IL, Alan Dierks (Carrie) of Steeleville, IL and Terry Dierks of Morton, IL; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Alms, Travis Dierks, Andrea Mevert, Eric Ehlers, Emilie Wallace, Austin Dierks, Amilia Marigold and Alex Dierks. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
