It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gibson of Chester, Illinois, born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Gibson and Mary Donaho (Barnett); his daughter Allyssa; his grandson Preston Gibson; and his siblings, Billy Gibson, Mickey Gibson, Dean Gibson, Maxine Gibson, Marilyn Gibson and Donna Gibson.
He is survived by: his son Tim Gibson (Kim) of Centralia; his grandchildren, Aiden, Alexia, Alanna and Alija; and his siblings, Randy Corrie (Dee) of Carterville, Danny Corrie of Centralia, Mark Corrie of Centralia, Doris Rhoden of Jacksonville, Margie Abraham of Little Rock and Carol Dodson of Bethalto, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
