It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy L. Middendorf of Chester, Illinois, who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Durkee and Naomi Durkee; her husband Melvin "Mel" Middendorf; and her siblings, Evelyn Rockwell and Gary Durkee.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia (Rich), Jill Middendorf and Jay Middendorf Monticello (Stephanie); her sister Pat Bartels Belleville; her grandchildren, Chris (Valerie), Missy Meyer (Jeff) and Amanda Schullian Cabot; and her great grandchildren, Ellen, Addie, Max, Curt, Nick, Briahna, Deighton and Eva.
Memorials may be made in Dorothy's memory to St. John Lutheran School and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
