He was predeceased by: his father Robert W. Garris; and his brother Darryl "Groundhog" Garris. He is survived by: his sister Robin Bert Creal (Jim); his niece Dawn Welk Perryville (Kevin); and his nephews, Joshua and Nick (Ashley).
Memorials may be given to Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home earmarked for Resident's Activity Fund and will be accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester.
