He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kiehl and Betty Kiehl; and his brother Donald Kiehl. He is survived by: his wife Tonya Nickels; his children, Steven Kiehl (Ashley) and Lindsay Kiehl; and the mother of his children Sarah Denning.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (200 N Plum Grove Rd, Palatine, IL 60067). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
