He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nichols and Marie Nichols (Bonk). He is survived by: his wife Rosalie; his children, Lori Doherty (Chuck), Jeff Nichols (Anne) and Ed Nichols; his grandchildren, Nick Doherty, Will Doherty, Alexis Nichols and Julia Nichols; his brother Charles Nichols (Sharon); his nephew Kurt Nichols; and his niece Amanda Nichols.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in James' name to the American Red Cross.
