It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francesco Salamone of Cherry Valley, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Salamone and Antonia Salamone (Crimi); his wife Anna; his brothers, Mike, Thomas, Rosario and Phillip Salamone; and his siblings-in-law, Assunta Salamone, Antonino LaRosa, Frank Cimino, Gerlando Russo Introito, Giuseppe and Concetta Vaccarello.
He is survived by: his children, Benny Salamone (Kim) of Loves Park, Calogero "Charlie" Salamone (Wendy) of Belvidere and Antoinette "Toni" Kreitlow (Michael) of Daphne, AL; his grandchildren, Stephanie Myers (Jeremy), Michelle LaMay (Giuseppe), Andrea Rondone (Matt), Brittany Goellner (Nick), Alexandra "Allie" Klazura (Greg), Frank (Ella), Luke, Caroline Salamone, Jacob, Anna and Mikayla Kreitlow; his great grandchildren, Milania, Arianna Myers, Ben, Carter, Dominic LaMay, Landon, Luca Rondone, Elle, Will, James, Baby Goellner, Leo and Calogero "Cal" Klazura; his siblings, Joe Salamone (Frances), Josephine "Pina" LaRosa, Carl Salamone (Rose), Tony Salamone (Maria) and Christina Cimino; and his sisters-in-law, Filippa Salamone, Nina Salamone and Carmela Salamone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
