She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar and Fannie D. Nelson (Wright); her grandson Lucas Marco Galindo; and her siblings, Jean Reed (Jerry), John Nelson, Paul Nelson, Lee Nelson, William "Bill" Nelson, George "Swede" Nelson and James Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Gaylene Galindo (Mark), Gary Peck (Lora Matthews) and Gwen Truesdale (Frank); her grandchildren, Alexis Galindo-Kazuk (Brad), Adriene Galindo (Lauren Segal), Olivia Truesdale, Jacob Truesdale (Olivia Fagan) and Chelsey Eklund; her great grandchildren, Emmet Eklund and Layla Eklund; and her sisters, Doris Lilja, Jane Nelson and Dorothy Boggs. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
