He was predeceased by: his brother David L. Garr; and his grandparents, William, Mildred Garr, Ray and Frances Stokes.

He is survived by: his parents, Paul Garr and Joann Garr (Stokes); his children, MayAnn Niduaza (Jason), Justin Garr (Victoria) and Shane Garr (Nicole); his grandchildren, Daniel Ethan Auth, Jayce Garr, Ayden Garr, Ariyah Garr and Zariyah Garr; his sisters, Jody Combs, Jackie Conley and Jill Garr; and his nephew Daniel Conley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, pva.org; he was a lifetime member.
